What I Do

Why You Should Work With Me

Hello from the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain Range! From 7,800 feet elevation in my cozy studio, I write stories for magazines, podcasts, and my website. Concurrently, I am editing the second draft of my manuscript, a memoir about caregiving and backpacking. Majority of my writing focuses on the dirt and the tears – travel and mental health, adventures and loss, backpacking and healing, and the like. My writing style is introspective, metaphorical, and emotive. I also have a background in mathematics and sociology. I have used my experience at Google, Inc. as a Business Analyst to consult for start-up companies, and I am currently working on a funny piece about Human Sexuality Education. Most important of all, I am an advocate for mental health, as an active member of the OneWave International Community, and having completed both the Mental Health First Aid and safeTALK Suicide Prevention courses. My community knows and appreciates me for my silly bright costumes that I wear regularly to put smiles on everyone’s faces.
