My name is Michael Auffant, and I am a freelance photographer and videographer currently working out of southern California. I was born in Puerto Rico, and moved to California with my family when I was 10 years old. In order to pursue my love for photography, film, and animation, I attended The Art Institute of California in San Francisco and received my Bachelors of Science Degree with a specialization in Media Arts and Animation. Shortly after graduating, I was introduced to rock climbing, mountain biking and the outdoors, things which were never in my radar prior and my life has been changed ever since. I discovered a love for outdoors and a passion for exploring the vertical realm. I am currently working freelance mainly in the outdoor space helping brands grow their presence through eye catching visuals, working with companies like Evolv, Flashed, Petzl, Stanley, Maya Kaimal, Wayfarer Vans to non-profits such as The Wild-lands Conservancy. Prior to that I worked in house as a video production lead for a technologies company, where I have gotten to learn many aspects of running a video production department, from conceptualizing, filming, editing and structuring a clean and efficient workflow.
